It not only saw what she'd done, but what her situation drove her to do--distance herself from her neighbors and draw water in the middle of the day. Many of us stand before that mirror you describe, hoping to see why we're better than the rest. Others of us become terrified by seeing ourselves as worse. Yet, as you say, Christ's word to our secret hearts reminds us we are all the same--sinners who need cleansing and courage to be true to our inner beings.

It's great hearing from you, Ed. I like seeing you here very much!

Blessings always,
TimTimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01271248501086241494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2722447614945782871.post-23398099130250425712011-07-17T00:03:59.705-05:002011-07-17T00:03:59.705-05:00Thanks Tim. He has just spoken the truth into her life about her five husbands and tells her this is the way she must live her life from now on (even though she is a Samaritan), in "Spirit and in truth." No more lies, no more kidding ones self that my sin is okay or no worse than someone else's. Time to look in the mirror and be real.Ed Duffyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03714382502710040624noreply@blogger.com
