He's my kind of guy--no BS and an agile metaphor maniac!

As you've probably already guessed, I grew up around a lot of extremely articulate talkers and everything they said--good and bad--still floats in the air around my head, even though many of them are gone. Even the bad stuff has a good side, though, because it's taught me to watch what I say. I don't catch every spark, of course, but when one gets away from me, I'm quick to recognize it's out there and prepare myself to deal with (and accept) the consequences. It's a fact of life I've learned from experience...

Always great to hear from you! Hope all's well on your end and blessings are coming in all shapes and sizes.

TimTimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01271248501086241494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2722447614945782871.post-77799430092007394652008-11-14T12:11:00.000-06:002008-11-14T12:11:00.000-06:00I love the James quotes. And this, "The wounding pa...I love the James quotes.
And this, "The wounding pain of words hangs on long after physical injuries mend. Here’s why: our words are eternal. They’re propelled and borne by our breath—the very same breath God used to inspire our beings and set us apart from all other creation. Once they’re released, they assume lives of their own. They can’t be taken back. They can’t be controlled. Where they travel and whom they reach can’t be managed. We speak living words that can’t die because they’re driven by God’s power."
Very well said.Missyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12041804780968204993noreply@blogger.com
