To accuse disadvantaged people of doing nothing as an excuse for not doing anything to help them is an outright shame. It belittles those in need. But more than that it reveals small-mindedness at its worst.

Your story mirrors so many I've heard of conscientious people who are constrained to reach out for help still giving of themselves to others in need. This side of it seldom, if ever, surfaces and we should be quick to answer charges against the poor with examples like yours. They are uplifting and, more important, they're true.

Thanks, dear friend, for sharing with us. And I'll be praying earnestly that you'll be led to the right job, where all of your talents and spirit will be appreciated!

Blessings always,
TimTimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01271248501086241494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2722447614945782871.post-69903610852090774822012-10-10T14:49:45.890-05:002012-10-10T14:49:45.890-05:00Tim, I like this post because it speaks to the hea...Tim, I like this post because it speaks to the heart of our economic situation. The poor are being blamed for their own conditions and having their benefits stolen from them. I was unemployed over 15 years ago. Used food stamps, pantries and such but helped others along the way. When I found gainful employment, I was off these things. I'm presently unemployed but am looking for work. The comments I'm hearing about the poor are insensitive and cruel. genevievehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07041499205158357183noreply@blogger.com
