Coming back to read your words is a great welcome indeed!

You summarize my clumsily put thoughts perfectly. Any time we accept marginalization of any kind under any ruse, we negate God's gift of grace to us. We can't allow it--not only for our sake, but those who come after us.

Christ died for all. Permitting ourselves to be classified as unworthy of our legacy reduces the cross to a social avenue for "haves" and "have-nots." It is the duty of all us--female and male, regardless of orientation, race, means, status, etc.--to exercise our rights of inheritance, openly, actively, and vocally. In doing so, we prove to those who might otherwise give in to ASBS schemes that they have the same rights.

It is empowering for us and those around us.

Blessings, dear sister. Now that's I'm back, I'm eager to get over to your place and catch up on what I've missed!

Peace (and power),
TimTimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01271248501086241494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2722447614945782871.post-54411826522997811322010-06-19T12:21:23.621-05:002010-06-19T12:21:23.621-05:00No one has any right to demand we forfeit our lega...No one has any right to demand we forfeit our legacy in Christ. No one can steal what God has given us.

As I reflect on your post, Tim, I realize that there is so much in it, said so kindly that in fact I missed how true and potentially subversive is what you say.

Our legacy in Christ... If I follow your thread, any time I accept to be marginalized as a feminist, a liberal, a lesbian, a transgender, a pro-Choice woman or a pro-poor activist, I allow these ASBS sufferers to cancel out all that Christ has done for each one of us...

As you say, it is signed with His blood.

Oh...

Thank you. How empowering this is.
